ST. CLAUDE AVENUE BRIDGE - ELECTRICAL/MECHANICAL REPAIR
The St. Claude Avenue Bridge is currently operating on a limited basis due
to a control system malfunction.  The bridge will continue to open for
passage of marine vessels but openings will be limited to one per hour.  If
this causes excessive delays at the IH-NC Lock the schedule will be adjusted
accordingly.  The bridge will continue to operate normally for vehicular
traffic but one westbound lane of the roadway will be closed from 11:00 AM
until 3:30 PM on Wednesday, September 29, 2010, to facilitate the repair
work.  It is anticipated that the repair work will be completed and the
bridge will return to normal operations on Friday, October 1, 2010.
