St. Bernard Parish will hold its annual Homecoming Parade Saturday, October
23

Parade starts at 8:30 a.m. and games to follow

 

The St. Bernard Parish Recreation Department will kick off homecoming
activities with its annual Homecoming Parade Saturday, October 23 at 8:30
a.m. Youth football teams, cheerleaders and local dance teams will greet
spectators along the parade route leading into Hannan Sports Complex where
games will be played after the parade. 

 

The public is welcome to greet the players and catch some throws at the
parade as well as to attend the homecoming games. The parade will include 20
Recreation Department youth football teams, the St. Bernard Recreation
Cheerleaders, the Andrew Jackson Middle School Dance Team and the W. Smith
Elementary School Spirit Team.

 

The parade will form at Davies Elementary School in Meraux with units lined
around the school on Mistrot and Nunez. The parade will begin rolling onto
Paul Drive, and it will turn right on to East Judge Perez Drive to Judy
Drive where it will it will make a U-turn and head east to Archbishop Hannan
Boulevard. The parade will turn right onto Archbishop Hannan Boulevard to
the Hannan Complex. It will end by turning left into the Hannan Complex.
Games are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
