Nunez Lecture Series to Focus on History of Street Names Nov. 1

 

               What's in a name?  When it comes to street names in St.
Bernard Parish and New Orleans, Ron Chapman has the answer to that question.

               Chapman is the featured speaker at the next session of the
Nunez Community College History Lecture Series on Monday, November 1st.

               Chapman, Nunez Associate Professor of History, will discuss
the origin and meaning of street names in a variety of neighborhoods from
the French Quarter to Chalmette.

               The lecture starts at 7 p.m. and is preceded by a wine and
cheese reception at 6:30 p.m. in the Nunez Auditorium and is free and open
to the general public.
