"Bobby needs to either do his job in state (convene a special session of the
lege and find ways to cut elsewhere other than education and health care, OR
he needs to resign and let someone else take the job that want to do the
work. --Anon (in place of one intimidated to put a name in place)."

Jer Responds:

What perturbs me mostly is that all officials worth their salt know that
much of the work involved includes being an ambassador to go away from a
broke state as a senator, governor or Parish President (Ask Craig) to rub
shoulders with the elite in Congress to help shore some of the money needed
to help their communities.

Anyone still sitting at a desk and facing myriad of documents saying the
cities, townships and municipalities is doing just that: sitting on his/her
"arse" to spend the hours needed in the office. That's all that gets done
when monetary support is so badly needed.

As ambassador, Mr xxxxxx goes to Washington to get funding. He meets people
that can help, and it's not only Washington that is the target. As
ambassador, he/she is supposed to talk to big business to get the economic
development score to locate its business in the state, and community.
Without growth and jobs, not only maintaining, but developing, the community
will soon turn into a ghost town of Village Squares and closed downtown
stores. It's factual and not fictional to believe all monies come from taxes
(wot? Mo' taxes??) and even God who doesn't always intervene in man's
affairs.

Then, there's the fundraising by big-named supporters. Does anyone actually
believe that no politician or public figure stays in his/her cubicle and
watch TV on the sidelines while its party figures need assisting to boost
votes??

Hardly, and it's not only Jindal. And it IS, a common practice.

If you don't believe me it's only Jindal, please DO ASK Obama, Barney Frank,
Reid and anyone else who has to campaign or help others campaign. Start with
them first, before criticizing only one political affiliated "activist". It
happens routinely.

Therefore, now that the common sense is out, we should know that it's been
so many years since a governor/senator, etc. has devoted most of his time
traveling to bring "da bacon home". Ask Landrieu who's brought home "da
Louisiana Purchase" which many conservatives KNOW is "privatizing" on
"pork-bellied projects at the rate of $350 million when 14 Trillion is
slammed against taxpayers for decades to come in debt. It never seems to
end.

Now America is thrown into a chaotic of money mismanagement and debt against
our grandchildren.

Enuff said. To summarize, no one worked harder than Jindal and under
catastrophic conditions, economically since Katrina. He knows it takes a
special, every-working effort to bring the state out of depression (whether
it be a 14 billion-dollar roads backlog or education having to be cut and
experienced when he KNOWS the importance of each from taxpayer's money.

Find ways to cut from a "bone"?

Well, if he tries enough, he might be able to get the marrow inside the
bone. Otherwise, we can expect him to keep working hard at economic
development and other projects to bring more jobs to the state, put more
money in the coiffeur and pray for a brighter day (which many people I
surmise have forgotten how to do!).
