BP Oil Spill Assessment and Restoration Meetings Set in Louisiana

The State of Louisiana and federal natural resource trustees are conducting
a Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) for the BP Oil Spill.

The Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, Louisiana's lead
trustee agency for the BP oil spill, along with the Louisiana Oil Spill
Coordinator's Office, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, the
Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, and the Louisiana Department
of Natural Resources, are hosting a series of public meetings on this topic
across coastal Louisiana.

There will be a meeting addressing the NRDA process in St. Bernard Parish on
Thursday, October 28th from 6pm to 8pm at the St. Bernard Council Chambers
at 8201 West Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette.

The public is invited to learn the fundamentals of the NRDA process and find
out how they can participate in restoration planning to restore our state's
natural resources injured by the spill. Please note, the meeting will not
address private claims.
