Operation Candyland holiday event at Sigur Civic Center Auditorium Dec. 18
Event includes free entertainment, Santa Claus, Radio Disney, crafts and
more!


Let us whisk you away into a land of fun festivities, entertainment and
candy galore this holiday season!  The Sigur Center plans to host the 1st
annual Operation Candyland family-friendly holiday event Saturday, December
18, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Frederick J. Sigur Civic Center
Auditorium at 8245 West Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette.


The event will include the following free activities:
*       Performances from the N.P Trist Majorettes, N.P Trist Cheerleaders,
N. P Trist Flag Team, Joseph Davies Pep Squad, Lynn Oaks Cheerleaders, Our
Lady of Prompt Succor Cheerleaders, Petitie Patriots, Patriots Dance Team,
Our Lady of Prompt Succor Choir
*       Special entertainment and activities from Radio Disney including
Disney Karaoke, prizes, and giveaways from 2-5pm
*       Pictures with Santa Claus
*       Gingerbread House Decorating sponsored by Nunez Community College
Culinary Department, live demonstration!
*       Cupcake Design sponsored by Volunteer Family Services
*       Face painting, pony rides, merry go round, games, and more!


* There will be a specialty item- Root Beer or Coke Float in Sigur Center
color changing, cold activated cups- available for purchase. The concession
stands will also be open to purchase other beverage and food items.

Admission is $5. Children can get in free with a canned good that will be
