St. Bernard Parish government warns residents who live east of the Verret
hurricane protection levee that they might experience low water pressure on
Monday.

The Army Corps of Engineers plans to reroute and cut valves on the main
water line that supplies water to the communities of Reggio, Delacroix,
Florrisant, Alluvial City, Yscloskey, Shell Beach and Hopedale, the parish
said in a news release.

The process will take four to eight hours, during which residents will
experience lower water pressure.

The parish is asking residents in the affected communities to try and use as
little water as possible during the day Monday. Normal pressure should be
restored by Monday evening.
