OCCUPATIONAL TRAINING AVAILABLE

FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY OIL DISASTER





Jefferson Business and Career Solutions Center is currently offering
occupational training to individuals who were affected by the Deepwater
Horizon Oil Spill. Available training programs include Tankerman, Deckhand,
Broadband, Construction, Bio Diesel, Solar Energy Installation/Business
Development Training and many more.



Delgado Community College offers training in the following areas:

Tankerman Training

Deckhand Training



Hope Center offers training in the following areas:

Solar Energy Installation/Business Development

Broadband Training - C-Tech

Construction Training - Carpentry



Operation Reach, Inc. offers training in the following area:

Bio Diesel



The length of training and locations varies by training provider. All
interested parties are encouraged to contact the Jefferson Business and
Career Solutions Center by phone or in person Monday through Friday between
8:30am and 4:30pm. Program participants may also qualify to receive funding
to assist in starting a new small business or expanding an existing small
business. All services are offered at no charge to the program participant.
