St. Bernard Parish Government hosts March 12th concert to benefit coastal
restoration and the fishing community

Air Supply to headline the event

St. Bernard Parish Government will be hosting a benefit music concert on
March 12, 2011 to support the recovery and restoration of the St. Bernard
Parish coast, marshland and fishing community which were all impacted by the
Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill disaster. The concert will be held at the
Frederic Sigur Civic Center Auditorium at 8245 W. Judge Perez Drive in
Chalmette.

Still recovering from Hurricane Katrina, St. Bernard Parish now suffers from
the effects of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill disaster. The most direct
impact has been to the fishing industry. Over 300 miles of coastline and
marsh were impacted by oil in St. Bernard Parish alone. There are also the
devastated oyster reefs and possible impact to future offspring of numerous
species of fish and other types of seafood.

Proceeds from the concert will go towards restoring the coast and marsh in
St. Bernard Parish and revitalizing the fishing community.
