Mosquito Season Advisory 

 

With the warmer weather approaching, so does a new mosquito season. St.
Bernard Parish uses many differing methods to reduce mosquitoes, but on
occasions, low level flights over congested areas with aircraft will be
required to help in control efforts. To help prevent mosquitoes from
breeding remember to eliminate anything capable of holding water, such as
tires, flower pots and bird baths. Make sure to protect yourself when you
are outside by wearing long sleeve shirts, long pants and use repellants
especially in the early morning and late evenings when mosquitoes are the
most active.
