JY, while the north shore is preferable to majorities, retiring, the south
shore is more desirable to the New Orleans crowd, and those who want to
return from outside the area. (ex. The music, the parades, the activities,
the history, the family, the weather, the proximity to more socialists,
etc.).

Jerry the only thing I was trying to get across was that sometimes the techs
and nurses will pool together to
rent an apt. nearby where they work when they work those extended shifts.
Some work 4 10 hr shifts some even 3 12s or something and thus get a 3 or 4
day weekend. I found out from the nurses at Methodist they'd usually rent a
place nearby (something decent) and then for their 3 or 3 day weekend they
would go back to the Northshore or some even lived in Miss. Those are the
only ones I could think of that would rent in a "mixed income" facility and
not complain about living next to someone who was getting their rent
subsidized. And that if *I* were an apartment dweller I would not want to
live in something like that but rather would probably live across the lake
in a complex where everyone paid equally. There are a *lot* of younger folk
living across the lake around Mandeville/Covington. There are clubs, dining
and such there and *if* you want to visit the restaurants, musical events at
the universities, the Saints and such you can do so and then leave the muss
and fuss behind you when you get back on the Causeway to the North Shore.
