Remember the waste in government intervention and expenditures. Remember
$500 hammers or toilet seats.

The government is yet to run anything efficiently or parsimoniously. If one
wants government waste, ineptness (one doesn't have to look hard to see what
it's done to Amtrak, the Post Office, Social Security, or anything it gets
its gritty little hands on--it's going to be done "Alf-ha$$ed". The
government exceeds at failure.

Therefore let it build something and it'll cost what the globe needs for
feed its worldly population for 1000 years.

So let it be written (up)--so let it be "Alf-ASSed done".

The MR - GO is not closed. From what I understand, the rock barrier lets
water in but does not let water flow out. The Corps explained in a parish
meeting that the sheet pilings in St Bernard Parish are not coated, as they
are in the other parishes. This is not because of a cost factor, but
because they are under so much pressure to finish by June 2012. Makes you
wonder what else they skipped. ----- SJK
