ST. BERNARD PARISH FREE CPR TRAINING
Saturday, June 4, 2011 * Frederick Sigur Civic Center, Chalmette

Chalmette Refining, and the St. Bernard American Red Cross (St. Bernard
Chapter) have partnered together to offer FREE Adult-CPR and AED
training.

The CPR/AED training will be provided by volunteers through the American
Red Cross, and all participants will receive a free gift. Adult-CPR
certification cards will be mailed to participants who meet the
requirements. For more information or to register please contact the
American Red Cross.

“Knowing how to perform CPR and how to use an AED are essential life
skills that everyone needs,” according to Melissa Eugene, Executive
Director of the American Red Cross St. Bernard Chapter. “Come to Super
CPR Saturday on June 4 and learn how to save a life.”

There will also be a FREE HEALTH FAIR on site. The Health Fair is open
to both adults and children and will be staffed by volunteers from the
St. Bernard Health Center who will provide blood pressure and health
screenings.

Local United Way Agencies will be on hand to give out important
information on St. Bernard programs. The Blood Center blood mobile will
also be on hand for donations. Donors will receive an exclusive, “Live
Here, Give Here” t-shirt.

The event is made possible by a grant from the ExxonMobil Foundation.
