Skills & Drills Basketball Camp Basketball Camp in June at Cypress Garden

The Skills & Drills Basketball Camp will be starting on June 7, 2011 at 6:30
p.m., at Joseph Davies School at Cypress Gym. The camp will be open to
college, high school and middle school students. This camp, being done in
partnership between local coaches and the St. Bernard Parish Recreation
Department, will teach players the basic fundamentals, special drills,
discipline and mentoring. Most of the instructors for this camp have played
college basketball, and there are some who are former and present coaches
from Chalmette boys' and girls' teams. 

Dates for the camp will be June 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and
30. 

 

The camp is free, but all participants must fill out a registration and
purchase a t-shirt for $10. For further information, call Pernell Howard at

Registration forms may be picked up in advance at the St. Bernard Parish
Recreation Office Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The
office is located on the second floor of the Government Complex at 8201 W.
