Whitney Bank holds grand opening for its Paris Road branch office in
Chalmette

 

Whitney Bank formally celebrated the opening of its newest branch at 3131
Paris Road in Chalmette. The 3,600 square-foot branch is a renovation of the
original structure that experienced heavy damage from hurricane Katrina in
2005. The branch has operated out of a temporary building on the site,
awaiting the new renovated building.

 

To commemorate the occasion Whitney Bankers organized reopening event and
activities for their customers, neighbors and friends.

 

"The Whitney has been part of the Parish for years, so we're so happy to be
able to return to the community, our customers and Chalmette's small
business owners again," said Branch Manger Rose Binder. "We're glad to be
part of the renaissance that is taking place here."

 

Parish President, Craig Taffaro attended to welcome the financial
institution back to the community and celebrate the rebuilding of St Bernard
Parish. At the event, he presented a framed proclamation to Senior Regional
Market Manager Duane Abadie and Branch Manager Rose Binder.

 

Whitney Bank also presented a donation to the local charity Jimmy's Kids. An
organization whose mission is to empower physically and mentally challenged
to gain a better quality of life within their limitations, Jimmy's Kids has
a long history of passion and devotion to the physically and mentally
challenged in the St. Bernard Parrish community. Similarly, Whitney Bankers
at the Paris Road Branch have extensive experience in all aspects of
banking, an unwavering dedication to customer service, and a strong
commitment to the community. 

 

The Whitney's new Chalmette branch is built in a contemporary style and
designed with comfort and convenience in mind. The bank features a drive-up
ATM, Lobby hours are Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Friday 9:00
a.m.-5:30 p.m. Drive-up hours are 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, and
