St. Bernard Parish Citizens have until Sept. 21 to register to vote or

to update and confirm their voter registration to be qualified to vote in
the Oct. 22 election



St. Bernard Parish Registrar of Voters Velma Bourg wants to remind citizens
that Sept. 21 is the deadline set by the Secretary of State's office for any
changes and additions to the voter registration rolls for the Oct. 22
election.



Bourg encourages residents who are not registered to vote to come to her
office in the St. Bernard Government Complex at 8201 W. Judge Perez Drive in
Chalmette. The office is open Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. They also may register online at www.geauxvote.com. Bourg also
encourages registered voters to review their registration information to
ensure it is up to date and correct. To review the information, you must
visit the office.



In addition to local propositions, the following state and local offices
will be on the Oct. 22 ballot: Governor, Lt. Governor, Secretary of State,
Attorney General, Treasurer, Commissioner of Agriculture, Commissioner

of Insurance, Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, state Senator,
state Representative, Sheriff, Clerk of Court, Assessor, Coroner, Parish
President and Parish Council members.
