A paid caregiver for a disabled Chalmette man was arrested on suspicion of
selling marijuana out of the man's home, St. Bernard Chief Deputy Sheriff
James Pohlmann said.

Investigators are trying to determine whether the disabled man was involved
in the marijuana-distribution scheme, Pohlmann said.

Lynn Williams, 45, 1414 Delery St., New Orleans, was booked Tuesday with
intent to distribute marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Williams is paid to take care of Alfonse "Fats'' Brown, 3303 Jupiter Drive
in Chalmette, Pohlmann said.

Brown is under investigation, but hasn't been arrested, he said.

Parish narcotics agents, commanded by Col. John Doran, acquired information
that marijuana was being sold from the home at 3303 Jupiter, Pohlmann said.

After obtaining a warrant, authorities on Monday conducted a search of the
home and found 10 small plastic bags containing marijuana, Pohlmann said.

Williams wasn't home at the time and Brown was in a bed in the bedroom. A
woman who answered the door, Jai Angelety, 28, of 3817 Charles Drive,
Chalmette, was booked with possession with intent to distrubute marijuana
and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Tuesday, investigators questioned Williams, who admitted she brought the
marijuana to the Jupiter Street home. She was arrested and later released on
$26,000 bond. Angelety was rleased on $10,000 bond, officials said.
