Tropical Storm Warning remains for St. Bernard Parish

Tropical Storm conditions are still in effect for all of St. Bernard Parish.
Communities south of Reggio are still experiencing tidal flooding.

In an effort to alleviate the flooding in those areas, Parish Government
crews are making cuts in the levees at Woodlake and Delacroix to help the
areas drain. Residents in those areas are asked to be cautious.

Tropical Storm Lee is still on a very slow North East track, which will
continue to impact St. Bernard Parish throughout the holiday weekend.

Intermittent rain and wind gusts are still expected to impact St. Bernard
Parish through Sunday and Monday. These conditions have the potential to
spawn tornadoes with very little warning, so residents are asked to limit
travel.

Residents may contact the parish Emergency Operations Center at 278-4268 if
they have any issues to report or if they need to ask for assistance.

Residents can register their cellular phones to receive updates at
www.sbpg.net <http://www.sbpg.net> or by calling (504) 278-4268

The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's office can also respond to calls for
assistance and they can be reached at (504) 271-2501.

For more information, stay tuned to local media and the parish website at
