St. Bernard Parish Registrar of Voters issues important information about
Oct. 22 election

Last day to register to vote in this election is Sept. 21 and early voting
is Oct. 8-15



St. Bernard Parish Registrar of Voters Velma Bourg would like to remind
people of important dates concerning the October 22 election.



The last day that people can register to vote or make any changes to their
registration in this election is September 21. To register to vote, people
must bring a photo id to the Registrar of Voters Office at 8201 West Judge
Perez Drive in Chalmette.



Early voting will be Oct. 8-15 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Registrar of
Voters Office. Any registered voter may cast a ballot during the early
voting period, but they must have a photo id.



Additionally, the state allows for certain people to vote by absentee
ballot, such as senior citizens, people with certain disabilities and
students who attend are attending college out of town. Additionally,
deployed military personnel may also get an absentee ballot that will be
mailed to them. Such citizens must call the office to request a form.
