Wow, what a mess up. The St. Bernard Sportsmen's League spent their hard
earned dollars, $950.00, to stock the ponds at Torres park with fingerling
fish last week to get the ponds ready for September 2012 Kids rodeo the the
Sportsman's League sponsors.

Ready for September 2012 not now.

In no way are the fish ready to be fished. This was the understanding our
organization had with the parish before we ventured with the fish hatchery
and also purchasing a permit with the Wildllife group.

The parish said they would dump some larger fish now. If the fish put in
are not small enough they will damage the fingerings that we purchased.

There is to be a article by Kim Gritter in next weeks Picayune with all of
our details.

By the way, the fishing part of the Youth Rock event just added the fish
concept.

The St. Bernard Sportsmens' League is hanging on by a thread. Like
everything else in this economic times our membership keeps reducing. Our
Kids rodeo was a special event that we held each year and we wanted to get
it started next year and bring back the importance of our organization on
the environment.

The St. Bernard Sportsmen's League is not supporting this fishing event.
