[StBernard] Put me in charge . . .

Everyone is always so worried about exceptions that the generality goes
unfixed.

One of the major problems I see in all levels of bureaucracy is that there
is no common sense. It is like I was saying about the people who work for
FEMA, "if it isn't in the rules say no." Doesn't matter if it makes common
sense, the cushy government job was safe if you said no because there was no
rule that said yes, even though it made common sense to say yes.

The Constitution is one of the greatest documents ever written, but there
was a different mindset among the populace when it was written. We've lost
that mindset and it isn't something that is easy to codify. "But, that is
progress."

The Roosevelts and Woodrow Wilson started us on a path of decline and it
seems as if every "progressive" politician since then has tried to speed up
the process.

There are alot a problems with the social programs, including medical health
plans in our country.
However, I really have to disagree on the birth control idea. Sometimes
working women are on Medicaid because their husband abandoned the family or
died. Forcing such birth control is inhumane, in my opinion. What if the
women had female children? At what age would you enforce this? What if birth
control were against their religious beliefs?

Also, the comments about our right to Vote -- what about retirees,
students, unemployed military families, and stay at home moms. The right to
vote is established regardless of income level, familial status, or property
ownership. - SJK
