And apparently has not given it a thought in all of her years as the Clerk.
So I wonder why now, at this particular time, she has decided to go on a
shredding frenzy?

I would say that Nunez does need to ask that it be looked into and possibly
put on hold until a records retention plan is in place and her plan of
shredding what particular documents can be checked out.
