Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit the St. Bernard Seafood & Farmers Market

TOMORROW, Saturday, December 10th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

 

The St. Bernard Seafood and Farmers Market will welcome Santa Claus and Mrs.
Claus back to the parish tomorrow, Saturday, December 10th at the Aycock
Barn in the heart of the Old Arabi Historic District.  Last week, Santa
noticed several familiar faces missing from the parade route and is coming
to town to make sure he does not miss anyone!  Starting at 10 a.m. until
noon, both Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the Market to take free pictures
with children and take last minute gift requests.  Santa is also taking
pictures with well-behaved pets.  In addition to pictures with Santa, the
St. Bernard Seafood & Farmers Market will have holiday ornament and picture
frame crafts at the kids' art corner as well as the live entertainment of DJ
Professor Possum, playing classic oldies and your favorite Christmas carols.
If you have not yet finished your shopping, it's a great time to browse our
local art and craft vendors for the perfect scarf, wood carving, jewelry
set, birdhouse, or quilt for that special someone on your list.   Fresh
produce and seafood is always available, including fresh picked local
grapefruit, satsumas, lemons, and assorted other citrus.

  

Next Saturday, December 17th is the last market day of the 2011 season.
Vendors and customers interested in more information and an application may
contact the Market Coordinator Amanda Hardesty at (504) 355-4442 or stop by
the Visitor Information Center at 409 Aycock Street in Arabi, Louisiana.

accessed off of St. Claude Avenue by turning south at the signs that say St.
Bernard Visitor Center and Seafood and Farmers Market.
