Nope. This is just the case of the Courts following the law.

If you read the full opinion, Rupp had to make his claim against these early
voters four days before the election. He failed to do so. Going to court to
change the rules just for him makes him just as guilty as other politicians
who constantly do the same.

Just because he is the person that you wanted elected doesn't mean all of a
sudden the rules can be changed.

One of the very few areas where the Courts do put the common man first and
not politicians.

The Courts have always been very leery of not counting a vote or
disqualifying a voters registration. You cannot simply look at someone's
Homestead Exemption and say that is where they must vote. Renters have no
exemption on file, so how do you handle them?

The best way is actually a two edged sword.

My belief is that no one should vote unless they have some skin in the game
by being a taxpayer. Generally, most taxes are paid where you live, which
should be where your homestead exemption is. But, you also pay taxes where
you work. For some people, mainly business owners, they may pay more in
taxes where there business is located than where they live. I have no
problem with people registering and voting where they work as opposed to
where they live. They still have a vested interest in how the local
government operates.

That said, it should be a free choice for the individual and not something
their employer is forcing upon them.
