This year's Mardi Gras celebration at the Community Center of St Bernard will include a free dance featuring a live performance by musicians Dominick Grillo and the Frenchmen Street All Stars. The family-friendly event will be held from 6 – 9:30 PM at the Community Center of St Bernard, 1111 LeBeau St in Arabi. Children are welcome, so put on your costume and come join the celebration!

For the Frenchmen Street All Stars, music is what it's all about.
FSAS are solid on the New Orleans scene, where their infectious Jazz, Pop and funky R&B sound always draws a crowd. Whenever they're playing, the room fills up with people ready to juke and jive to some jaw droppin' solos on sax, piano, upright bass, or drums.

Besides playing with the All Stars, Dominick Grillo, a talented New Orleans saxophonist and Frenchmen Street regular at venues like Café Negril, the Apple Barrel, and the Spotted Cat, performs with such notables as Corporate America, Dana Abbott, Mike Hood, Mark Welicky, Sam Price, Tom Chute and Sam Camarrata. Dominck's soulful tenor sax has been featured on many releases, including the critically acclaimed Jazz Skat Gumbo by Kat Walker.

The Mardi Gras Dance is a smoke-free event sponsored by The Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco Free Living. The dance is free to the general public, and everyone is welcome to attend. For more information, please phone 504-281-2512 or visit www.ccstb.org
