St. Bernard Parish Seafood & Farmers Market opens today

St. Bernard Seafood & Farmers Market opens its 2012 season at 8 a.m. today.
The market at the Aycock Barn, 409 Aycock Street in Arabi, ends at 1 p.m.


It will continue each Saturday through mid-December. Last year, which was
the market's inaugural 7-month season, it welcomed more than 5,500 guests
and featured local and regional vendors with a range of seafood, vegetables,
foods and crafts, as well as musical acts.

The market is south of St. Claude Avenue, and signs saying St. Bernard
Visitor Center and Seafood and Farmers Market should be visible directing
traffic.
