[StBernard] St. Bernard residents wary of proposed microbrewery

The zoning change is NOT for a Brewery. It's for C2, General Commercial for
ALL 600 feet. The councilman from District C was on the planning commission
and he knows this. This looks like a bait and switch. The District C
Councilman also said the brewery could operate in the existing warehouse
building without the zoning change. SO, why change 600 feet to C2?

This is what is allowed on C2:

Apartments, Trailer Courts, Tourist Courts, Funeral Home, auto care
services, gas station, amusement places, drive in theatres, all retail and
wholesale uses, public garage, fix it shop, retail manufacturing,
exterminating, day care, offices, and more.

The property goes back 600 feet from the highway.

There is plenty room for a house, maybe two. The property owners blocked
their residential property in when they built the existing apartments. The
apartment complexes sit on C1 commercial and R1 residential. I guess the
brewery could go in the existing building because it had a previous
variance?
