Voter registration campaign starts today in Chalmette

The St. Bernard Parish Registrar of Voters office will observe National
Voter Registration/Education Week by visiting several locations throughout
the parish in an effort to encourage residents to register to vote.

Registrar of Voters staff members will kick of the voter registration
campaign today from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the St. Bernard Parish Library,
2600 Palmisano Blvd. in Chalmette.

Other visits, also set for 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., will take place Tuesday at
Walgreens Drug Store, 100 W. Judge Perez Drive, Chalmette; Wednesday at
Breaux Mart Supermarket, 315 E. Judge Perez Drive, Chalmette; Thursday at
Walgreens Drug Store, 4141 E. Judge Perez Drive, Meraux; and Friday at
Nicosia's Express Lane, 101 Bayou Road, St. Bernard.
