Wind damage reported in Chalmette

Several houses in Chalmette's Carolyn Park subdivision were damaged by high
winds Wednesday afternoon.

St. Bernard Parish authorities said the damage occurred in the 700 block of
Cougar Street and the 700 block of Chinchila Street around 3:30 p.m.
Officials were uncertain if the damage was caused by a tornado or
straight-line winds. No injuries have been reported.

Parish President David Peralta is on his way to the scene.
