Chalmette man charged twice with having sex with a juvenile

CHALMETTE, La. - A 20-year-old Chalmette man was booked twice in a nine-day
period on charges that he had sex with two juvenile girls.

According to St. Bernard Sheriff's Office spokesman Steve Cannizaro, Donjai
Thomas, was arrested on May 16 and May 25 on carnal knowledge of a juvenile
charges.

Cannizaro said Thomas had been arrested on May 16 after the girl's mother
reported him to authorities. After that arrest, Cannizaro said the mother of
the second girl heard about the arrest and then reported that Thomas had
been in a relationship with her daughter.
