Tropical Depression Isaac Update #2 8-31-12 (10:00 a.m.)

Storm Debris should be placed by curbside in separate piles

 

Storm Debris Pickup will soon begin in St. Bernard Parish.  Residents are
asked to place debris from Hurricane Isaac at their curbsides.   

 

Debris should be separated into the following categories: 

 

.         Clean Vegetative debris - tree limbs and branches.  Leaves can be
placed in paper bags (NOT PLASTIC)

 

.         Construction and Demolition Debris - furniture, carpet, drywall,
non-asbestos shingles and roofing material, etc.

 

.         Household Hazardous Waste - paint, cleaning supplies, household
chemicals

Please do not mix debris with your regular garbage.  Following these
guidelines will help the Parish to clean up the debris from Isaac and get us
back to normal more quickly.

 

Parish officials will continue to provide updates to the public as time and
resources allow.   Residents can call 278-4227 with questions.
