Entergy and St. Bernard Parish Government Put Safety First

 

Entergy and St. Bernard Parish Government are working closely together to
guarantee that as power is restored throughout the Parish, residents may be
confident that their homes and electrical services are properly prepared to
receive power. Any meter pans that sustained damage or water intrusion will
require an inspection by a SBPG building inspector once applied for by a
licensed electrician. Electricians are required to file for the necessary
permits to repair electric service components to comply with Parish building
requirements as usual. Existing meters will be accepted at their current
locations in regard to height and Base Flood Elevations. Meters below the
Base Flood Elevation will not be required to be elevated.  Residents can
call the parish's Permit Office at 278-4310 with questions.
