Supplies stolen at St. Bernard distribution site

ST. BERNARD, La. -- A point of distribution site in St. Bernard Parish
servicing Hurricane Isaac victims was burglarized Sunday, according to the
St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened at the Lynn Oaks Elementary schools Sunday morning.

Deputies said the gym where the POD site was being held was full of all
sorts of clothing and toiletries for St. Bernard Parish and Braithwaite
residents.

When a truck came by to drop off a new shipment from a fundraiser, they
noticed that a whole section of the room was empty.

Deputies say baby items, toiletries and items intended for firefighters were
taken.

The St. Bernard Sheriff's Office is inspecting the incident.
