Actually, it is NOT against the law for an employer to "recommend or
suggest" who to vote for, provided how you vote does not affect your job -
and of course how would your employer know anyway!  Employers all the time
publicly support candidates and it is certainly okay for any employer to
inform an employee how the winner of a given election could impact the
future of the company they work for, thus the future of each employee's job
- as Mr. Crowley did.
