Actually, what's being booed in those clips was not God, but the process by
which the party adopted a change in its platform to include mention of God
and declare that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. The move was a reaction
to Republican criticism and the voice vote was clearly not a 2/3 majority.
The vote was held several times and was finally marked as passed, despite
the apparent vote count not having changed.

 

Personally, I'd prefer not to have a political party dictate to me how I
should worship, and I try not to dictate to others what to believe. That's
just me, though.

Snopes claims no one at the DNC booed God.  Well, snopes must not have
watched the DNC nor gone to Youtube where there are numerous uploads of the
delegates when they booed "God" in the motion to reinstate his name as part
of the party platform.  Remember a wise saying my late grandmother used to
tell me..."when you defend someone or something that's bad, you can only
make yourself to look the same."
