[StBernard] CHRISTMAS IS COMING

Other than Fox News' annual "War on Christmas" story cycle, I'd have to say
I rarely if ever hear much about this. I don't believe government (and
schools) should be promoting a particular holiday, but most of the radio
stations are playing nonstop Christmas music and the paper is full of ads
for Christmas sales. I think Christmas is doing just fine.

Seasons, but I also believe in religious freedom and separation of state and
church.  There are many fall and winter holidays observed in various
religions, including Muharram and Hanukkah. Observation of one over the
other should not >>>be forced upon school children. Some events in our
community include the Chalmette High School's Christmas Gala "Holiday
Variety Show" December 13th and 14th and the St. Bernard Community
