Kitchen Table type discussions continue in St. Bernard Parish's
Comprehensive Master Planning process

 

Comprehensive Master Plan conversations continue throughout the parish
around kitchen tables, among breakfast "clubs" and about the community, with
more and more people sharing their observations about the future of St.
Bernard. When asked "What are the things/places/conditions that we need to:
1. take advantage of, preserve, improve; 2. correct, stop, eliminate, and 3.
discover?" people grow passionate. As the review of current data about the
housing market, infrastructure and economic development continues, the need
for a comprehensive, smart and aggressive plan becomes clear. St. Bernard
Parish Government has provided substantial funding and support of this much
needed effort.  The St. Bernard Community Foundation is providing
organizational and financial support as well.  The public is encouraged to
participate in the process by submitting comments at
www.stbernardparishcompplan.com under the "Stay in Touch" tab and by
attending upcoming community-wide meetings.   Remember: No other parish can
boast a close proximity to New Orleans, safe & affordable neighborhoods,
superior educational offerings, world class fishing, deep historic roots and
proven resilience.
