Marsh fire burns in St. Bernard parish

St. Bernard Parish firefighters responded to a one-alarm marsh fire off of
Highway 46 Sunday afternoon.

The blaze was first reported around 3:45 p.m., but was contained to a
portion of marsh inaccessible to response crews, according to a St. Bernard
Parish fire department spokesman. Firefighters waited 45 minutes at a nearby
refinery until the fire was reachable.

The fire was contained around 4:47 p.m. No injuries were reported.
