St. Bernard Parish firefighters battled a marsh fire Sunday evening near
Shell Beach. The fire was brought under control within 90 minutes, according
to a St. Bernard Fire Department dispatcher.

The department responded to the fire near 2424 Florissant Highway around
5:15 p.m., the dispatcher said. The fire was under control by 6:25 p.m., she
said.

It was not immediately known how many units had been involved in the
response.
