Two St. Bernard Parish men were arrested this week in separate incidents
involving indecent behavior with juveniles. One of the men also was arrested
for sexual battery.

Salvadore Chauppetta, 44, of Meraux, was booked on Wednesday after a judge
signed arrest warrants alleging sexual battery and indecent behavior with a
juvenile. Chauppetta allegedly sexually touched an underage girl on several
occasions a few weeks ago, according to the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's
Office.

The victim told an aunt about the incidents and she then called the
Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Jimmy Pohlmann said. Juvenile Division detectives
interviewed the girl and the information then was presented to a judge who
issued the warrants.

Chauppetta was being held on Thursday in the parish prison in lieu of a
$25,000 bond.

In an unrelated incident, Dallas Green, 31, of Arabi, was booked on Tuesday
with indecent behavior for allegedly inappropriately touching a juvenile
boy. The juvenile told his mother, who reported the allegations to the
Sheriff's Office.

Green also has pending St. Bernard domestic abuse battery and disturbing the
peace charges. He was imprisoned on Thursday in lieu of a $104,000 bond.
