St. Bernard Parish officials monitoring weather conditions

St. Bernard Parish President David Peralta and his staff are monitoring 
weather conditions. The crews were out early assessing damages from last 
night's hail storm. Forecasters anticipate more heavy rain, strong 
thunderstorms and possible street flooding as this weather system passes 
through the area.

President Peralta wants residents to know that the drainage pumps are 
working and the crews are prepared to respond as necessary. He urges 
residents to clear any debris that could block the catch basins in front 
of their homes. Residents are also urged to stay off the roadways if 
possible.
