CHALMETTE, La. -- St. Bernard Parish deputies recovered the body of a
33-year-old man found shot to death Sunday morning.

A passer-by found the body around 7:30 a.m. off Paris Road in Chalmette near
the New Orleans line, said St. Bernard Parish Sheriff James Pohlmann.

Pohlmann said the victim won't be identified until his family is notified.
The victim was carrying an ID card on him that had a Jefferson Parish
address, but deputies don't believe it was current.

Deputies haven't released any information on a possible suspect or motive.
