St. Bernard Salutes America 29th Annual Celebration on Thursday, July 4th -
from 3:00 to 9:30 p.m.

Music by "Amanda Shaw and the Cute Guys" and "Band Camp"

Fireworks Show at 8:30 p.m.

The St. Bernard Salutes America 28th Annual Celebration will take place on
Thursday, July 4th from 3:00 to 9:30 p.m. in Torres Park located at 8201 W.
Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette behind the St. Bernard Parish Government
Complex. 

The celebration will include live music by "Amanda Shaw and the Cute Guys"
and "Band Camp."  This year's event will again feature the annual Hot Dog
Eating Contest, sponsored by Stonewalls BBQ.  The contest is open to the
first 10 registrants.  Those interested in participating in the Hot Dog
Eating Contest must pre-register by calling Andrew Becker at (504) 473-7238
to receive registration forms.  The traditional fireworks show at will begin
at 8:30 p.m.  Admission is free.

 

Come out, enjoy the fun and support our local vendors who will be offering a
wide variety of food and drinks including pulled pork, chicken and sausage
gumbo, BBQ ribs, corn grits, hamburgers, hot dogs, and nachos. There will
also be other favorites such as gourmet cupcakes, beer, soft drinks,
daiquiris, snowballs, funnel cakes, cotton candy, ice cream and craft
booths.
