For the 18th year, Chalmette Refining, in conjunction with the St. Bernard
Career Solutions Center, the St. Bernard Parish School Board, St. Bernard
Parish Government, and Nunez Community College, is sponsoring the Chalmette
Refining Summer Partners Program (formerly the Green Team) this summer. The
ExxonMobil Foundation gave a grant of $30,000 for this year's summer
program.

Each summer young adults are provided a job that directly benefits the
community. Students currently are working in office jobs for the St. Bernard
School Board, Parish Government, and Nunez Community College. The
educational component of this program is provided by Nunez Community College
which is offering a college level course designed to expose the members of
the Summer Partners Program to new experiences and ideas.

There are 13 students in this year's Summer Partners Program. The
participating students are ages 16-19. The St. Bernard Career Solutions
Center handled the entire interviewing and hiring process. The program
started June 3 and will run until the end of July.

This year's Chalmette Refining Summer Partners Program participants are:
Dontrelle Cargo, Kaylin Courtade, Frank Duplessis, Thomas Evans, Samantha
Hotard, Brittany Jacob, Deandranae Major, Wanya Major, Jonathan Marks,
Brittney Mitchell, Hoang Nguyen, Teriana Pendleton and Shikari Washington.
