The fallacy in your logic is thinking that a state bureaucrat didn't plan it
for August precisely because traffic would be greater. It all adds to their
feeling of having power over the humdrum lives of us poor common folk.

wow. Thanks.
but why couldn't the State PLAN better. the bridge could have been closed
and repaired in June or July, when traffic is considerably lighter, instead
of the first few weeks of a new school year

The busy Judge Seeber Bridge will close for about three weeks beginning at
8 p.m. Friday for the final piece of structural and mechanical work that
began in September 2009, according to the state Department of Transportation
and Development. It is set to reopen at 11:59 p.m. Aug. 24.
