Here's the difference:  When Joe and Jane Blow's son or daughter is arrested
it's not news because the parents are not public officials or in the public
light.  The sheriff is a public official in the public light.  That's the
reason it was news much like when Mary Landrieu's son and Mitch's sons were
both arrested on DUI's.  Those sons are offspring of public officials and so
it is news.  It may not be fair but that's the

way it is.  Let's hope that Justin gets whatever help he needs.  I recall
that he was sent to northern La to a treatment program back when the
sheriff's race was going on.  Obviously he's had a slip up.  We can hope he
gets additional treatment or whatever is needed because the next time he
attempts to burgle a residence it may end up like the Merritt Landry
situation.

	When Joe Blow was arrested the media did not run wild by saying, Joe
Blow
	the son of Jane Doe and Joe Blow Sr was arrested for such and such.
