[StBernard] Additional info on Pohlmann arrest from The Advocate

I have a friend whose son has a drug problem. She is constantly battling
with him. He goes to court & for years they have been putting him on
probation. When he violates it, SOMETIMES they arrest him & he stays in jail
a couple days & then is let out again. The judge even tells him. next time
he is going to jail for 2 years. Next tims comes & he doesn't go to jail,
just gets the same treatment. Let out, has to go to rehab, walks out of
rehab after a dayu or 2, lies to parents that they put him out. Rehab can't
discuss situation with parents because he is an adult. Never ending cycle.
And this is in St. Bernard. So, who do you blame ? The parents are trying to
get him help, but the drug court & judge keep letting him out. They don't
follow through. They call him when he doesn't show up for court, but he
doesn't answer the phone & they don't come out to arrest him. He knows when
they are testing for drugs, so he knows how to scam the system. I am afraid
it is going to wind up bad because when the parents confront him, he gets
violent. And it is increasing.
