The St. Bernard Business and Professional Women's Club recently recognized
three women as its 2013 Model Working Women in St. Bernard Parish as part of
National Business Women's Week. Honorees, all in the medical field, are Dr.
Lesichia Jarrell, Tammi Craft Labarre and Paula Serigne Licciardi.

Jarrell is an associate chiropractor at AMR Shoemaker Chiropractic in
Chalmette. Jarrell volunteers for Camp Hope, a rebuilding organization, and
is a member of the Big Easy Roller Girls. She also volunteers to do spinal
screening and health and wellness presentations throughout St. Bernard
Parish. In her spare time, she is a member of the Upper Room Bible Church
where she teaches liturgical dance and has been a youth leader for three
years.

Labarre is a family nurse practitioner. She is the co-owner of Family Health
Care Clinic in Chalmette. She has worked in the medical field for more than
22 years. When not working, she enjoys attending LSU football games, family
time, watching "Duck Dynasty," and being the junior church leader at
Covenant United Methodist Church. Labarre attributes much of her success to
her parents, Hugh and Carolyn Craft.

Licciardi is a family nurse practitioner and co-owner of Family Health Care
Clinic in Chalmette. Carey Black's book, "Hurricane Katrina: A Freight Train
Coming," features Licciardi's story of her personal experiences during
Katrina. She was also included in a MSNBC documentary by Rita Cosby.
Licciardi and her business partner were highlighted on Nola38 for their
implantation of an electronic medical record system in 2010. Licciardi has
chosen "Making A Difference" as her motto because at the end of the day, she
hopes she has made a difference in someone's health.

The St. Bernard Business and Professional Women's Club annually honors women
as its Model Working Women in St. Bernard Parish.
