Deputies: St. Bernard man admits to raping son, three women

ST. BERNARD -- A prison inmate admitted to raping three women and committing
sex crimes on three young boys in St. Bernard, according to the parish
sheriff's office.

Sheriff James Pohlmann said all of the rapes happened before Hurricane
Katrina.

Pohlmann said deputies have identified three women, the man's young son and
the boy's half-brother as victims. They haven't been able to identify the
third child.

The man was already being held in prison when he wrote a letter admitting to
the crimes.

The 34-year-old man isn't being identified to protect the identity of the
victims.

He faces four counts of rape and one count of sexual battery.
