St. Bernard Chamber gala, Toys for Tots program set: Community Report

The St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce will hold it annual gala Dec. 5 from 6
to 9 p.m. at Arc-Sterling Hall, 3700 Jean Lafitte Parkway, Chalmette. A live
auction, food from several local restaurants, $10,000 raffle, and music will
be featured.

The event will celebrate the group's accomplishments for 2013, recognize
efforts of the board of directors, community partners and corporate
supporters. Tickets are $40 per person for chamber members or $400 per
table; and $50 per person for guests and future members or $500 per table.

Toys for Tots
St. Bernard Parish' 2013 U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots
distribution will be held Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to noon at Lighthouse
Pentecostal Church, 7724 E. St. Bernard Highway, in Violet. 
Children age 15 and younger are eligible. Children must be present to
receive toys.  Preregistration is not required.  The event is open to St.
Bernard residents only.
